5 Things: Friday Edition

My Friday started out a little rocky.  I woke up with a massive headache (I am a migraine sufferer) but 2 Excedrin Migraines, 2 Advils, 1 greasy cheeseburger, and 8 hours later I am starting to feel more like myself.  I'm gearing up for a fun filled weekend so BE-GONE headache!

5. RECIPE FOR A FRIDAY SOFA NIGHT
I want nothing more than to go home, put on comfy pants and a big t-shirt, eat some macaroni & cheese, drink some wine and watch a chick flick.  Now the big decision is what movie?  I have "Life Happens" and "The Blind Side" recorded from HBO or possibly "Something Borrowed" from On-Demand.  Thoughts/Review/Suggestions Welcomed!

Macaroni and cheese! +Red wine

4. TOUR DE CHARLESTON
AMM's husband Mr. M is coming to Charleston for the weekend, tonight!  It is our mission (which we absolutely accept!) to convince him that Charleston is THE place for the McPherson's to move during Dr. M's residency in radiology.  I am thinking we will get up tomorrow morning and hit up one of my FAVE Charleston spots, the Marion Square Farmers Market.  Not only can we get some wonderful fresh produce but we can pick up some fresh flowers or maybe some crepes for breakfast!  If you are ever in Charleston from April until December don't miss this fun outside activity.

3. MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT
Since the big occasion of Mr. and Mrs. McPherson's visit is going down, Mr. R and I are thinking its a great opportunity to hit up our favorite restaurant.  Drum roll please...THE FAT HEN.  I cannot wait!!!!  Should I get a melt in your mouth hamburger, the salmon bernaise or maybe mussells with garlic aoli and a salad????  What's your favorite Charleston restaurant?

Love their Roasted Tomato, Corn & Boiled Peanut Salad?  So does Mr. R.  Recipe by Chef Fred Neuville can be found HERE!

2.  PADDLE BOARD CRAZY
Our sweet friends the Allens have invited us to go paddle boarding on Sunday morning out at Isle of Palms.  Neither Mr. R or I have been able to try out this "all the rage" hobby here in Charleston and we are STOKED, dude.  Word has it that maybe we should take some pain killers BEFORE we go.  Lets hope my non-athletic and klutzy self can handle it.  I will be happy even if I don't make it from my knees to stand up!

1. SHE'S HERE, SHE'S HERE!

Niece #4 was welcomed into the world on Tuesday night at 11:52pm, weighing in at 5lbs 14oz and 19 1/4 inches long.  Baby SC, Momma J, Daddy D and big sis M are doing wonderfully and are SO happy this little one is finally here.  Momma and baby should go home tomorrow (Saturday).  Mr. R and I absolutely cannot wait to meet the newest addition to our family.  This makes FOUR girls and with Mr. R as the youngest, pressure is on for more...hopefully a BOY!  Now I need to start thinking about some "little" gifts for Miss SC and big sister M!  We love you all so very much!
