Charleston Fashion Week: Emerging Designers

VIA
Tonight marks the beginning of one of the most highly anticipated weeks in Charleston: Fashion Week 2012.  Charleston has become not only known for its beauty, history, friendly people, and cuisine but now, FASHION.  Charleston Fashion Week started in 2007 and has grown into a nationally know event.  Each year local retailers, bridal boutiques and incredibly talented upcoming designers have the chance for models to strut their stuff and show off the latest and greatest in Southern couture.

The Emerging Designer competition has become a HUGE success and has featured everything from Ready To Wear, Bridal, to Children's Fashion.  I was lucky enough to graduate college and design along side a talented designer, Michael Wiernicki, who won the People's Choice Award in 2011.  He was selected as a 'Featured Designer' for this year's runway.
