Its a milestone day in blogland! This is my
100TH post!!!! I've enjoyed every minute of blogging and hope to make to my 1000th!!!!
If you have read up on the nominees for the upcoming awards shows you might have noticed a little mini series called
DOWNTON ABBEY from PBS. I wondered what the heck this was and decided one night (trying to speed along a quite night at work) to check out an episode. I.AM.HOOKED. If you like anything Jane Austen/Edith Wharton AND the insane fashion of the early 1900s (art deco, my friends) you will surely love this show. It was a time where ladies were just starting to gain rights but still practiced such things as formal dinners and tea. Fashion these days is starting to show some signs of the beauty that deco once was, coming to light again! PS, you also get a hoot out of Granny Violet, the Dowager Duchess, played by the PHENOMENAL Maggie Smith (Professor McGonagall anyone?).
