Chocolate Chip Oreo Brownies

OH YEAH...I made them this past weekend for a football party and they were a bunch of melt in your mouth yummy goodness and HUGE HIT.  Find the original recipe over here at KEVIN & AMANDA's blog.

PREP TIME: 20 MINUTES
READY IN: 1 HOUR & 20 MINUTES
YIELDS: APPROX. 2 DOZEN SERVINGS

INGREDIENTS
1 tub Nestle Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
1 package Double Stuff Oreos
1 package brownie mix (I used Betty Crocker Original Supreme)

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x13 baking dish.  Layer bottom of baking dish with cookie dough (I had to put mine in the microwave for about 1 minute to soften enough to spread).  Layer oreos on top of cookie dough.  Prepare brownie mix according to box.  Pour brownie mix over the cookie dough/oreo layers.  Bake for 55 minutes or until solid in the middle.

GameDay Couture

Labor Day signifies the end of summer and the beginning of fall.  We say goodbye white pants, Lilly Pulitzer dresses, seersucker, swimsuits and flip flops and HELLLLOOO jeans, boots, scarves and FOOTBALL!

No matter what colors are true to your heart we all love the "Boys of Fall" (thanks Kenny Chesney).  Southern girls, pull out your gameday gear, its time for the runway we know best as Tailgating!  Take a look at some of my favorites for each team!

Have a grand time pulling for your team this weekend!

Thinking Fall Thoughts

The beginning of this week there was just barely a *hint* of coolness in the breeze in Charleston.  It was a very noticeable difference compared to the opressive heat and humidity of late.  Granted it only lasted about two days, early in the morning, it gave a nice sneak peak into the upcoming months.  Media, stores, fashion, home decor, etc. seem to think we are already in late November and soon will have Christmas cards and decorations in stock so there have been plenty of items to spark my nostalgia for cool fall days.  Here are a few of my favorite things, what are some of yours?

What about these adorable Halloween pumpkins for our front porch with a couple pots of geraniums?
